Try Time for Inclusion
It starts when someone is given the chance to try.
#TryTimeForInclusion is a community-led initiative by Blue Bird Aged Care & Disability Services. It exists to remind you that inclusion lives in everyday moments — on the field, in the community, and at home.
You don't need to have it all figured out.
You just need space to try.
Why #TryTimeForInclusion Matters
Not everyone moves at the same pace.
But everyone deserves to belong.
You see it every day:
- A child wanting to join a game
- A young person testing their confidence
- An adult trying something new for the first time
Inclusion happens when effort is encouraged, not judged.
That's why this initiative focuses on participation, not performance.
What "Try Time" Really Means
A try looks different for everyone.
For you, it might be:
- Showing up when it feels uncomfortable
- Having a go without knowing the outcome
- Taking one small step forward
No pressure to keep up.
Just permission to try — safely and supported.
Hear From Our Supporters
Since its beginning, #TryTimeForInclusion has been supported by a group of NRL players and community figures who believe in creating more inclusive spaces. Their involvement isn't about recognition — it's about using influence with care.

What We're Aiming to Create
Through #TryTimeForInclusion, we aim to:
- Encourage inclusive participation in sport and community spaces
- Celebrate personal wins — no matter how small
- Start real conversations about disability and access
- Reduce fear, stigma, and hesitation around inclusion
- Remind families they're not alone
It needs to be consistent.
How This Connects to Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services
Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services was built on family, care, and dignity.
You're not a number here.
You're a person with goals, strengths, and your own pace.
This initiative reflects how we support participants every day:
- Meeting you where you are
- Focusing on what can be done
- Creating space for growth without pressure
It's how we work.
How You Can Be Part of It
You don't need a platform.
You don't need experience.
You can support inclusion by:
- Encouraging someone to have a go
- Sharing inclusive moments in your community
- Starting conversations with empathy
- Making space where others might not
Who could benefit if you made room for one more try?
