The family behind Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services
In 2019, our mum Vira needed full-time care. We couldn't find workers who treated her with the dignity she deserved. After six years of caring for her ourselves, we built Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services in 2024 — the provider we wish we'd found for her.
"Support that feels personal, calm and truly yours — the way care should feel, every single day."
We're a team built from lived experience, not theory. You'll speak with us directly — Sherree, Bella or Nathan — not a call centre.

Choosing a provider is a big decision. This page helps you understand who we are, why we began, and the values that guide every visit.
Established October 2024. Trusted by families and support coordinators across Sydney — because we show up with consistency, kindness and genuine care.
How Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services began
Vira – the heart behind Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services.
Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services began with a simple truth — the way we cared for our own mum and grandmother should be the standard of care every family receives.
For six years, we cared for Vira at home. Early mornings. Midnight medication. Endless appointments. We tried eight different agencies. Workers who rushed. Workers who didn't show up. Workers who treated Mum like a task, not a person.
Vira showed us what dignity, patience and compassion look like in real life. She taught us that care isn't about ticking boxes — it's about seeing the person. That became the foundation of Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services.
Today, our service is guided by the same principles we lived by at home —
kindness, reliability, cultural respect, and support that truly feels personal.
"Would this feel right for someone we love?"
Not satisfied? We'll work with you to make it right.

Our why
In loving memory
"Care is not a task to us — it is a continuation of the love we were raised with."
Everything we do at Blue Bird Aged Care and Disability Services began with family — and the lessons Vira taught us about dignity, patience and compassion.
"We exist to bring calm, dignity and genuine kindness back into everyday care."
We know what it feels like to care for someone you love — the exhaustion, the worry and the pressure of navigating the NDIS alone.
Our purpose is simple: to make life gentler, calmer and easier for every family we support.
These principles reflect the heart of our work — the legacy of love Vira left with us.
